Can we just pretend that I never really left? I photographed this newborn and her family at the end of the summer. So much fun!! I’ve been on a newborn kick lately–more to come!

Here’s a little before and after in honor of Colin’s second birthday tomorrow. We will officially have two over two! We’ll be celebrating with a Thomas the tank engine party.

Thank you!!
I (almost) always listen to my father!
Well said!
What an adorable boy!

When I started this blog, the first thing my assistant Patsy asked was if I intended to post about work, to which I said: absolutely not. Because I do want people to actually read this thing, and–no offense to my fabulous co-workers and fellow lawyers everywhere–it’s not exactly Law & Order around here most days (or ever, actually). With that established, the second thing Patsy asked was if I would take some photos of her son, Alex, for acting and modeling auditions. That was an easy yes–Patsy is a great assistant. And so it’s clear, I will someday take full credit for the fame and fortune that is sure to come Alex’s way (and for his brother Matthew too, who agreed to pose for a few shots as well).

Josie is three today. We brought her home from the hospital on Mother’s Day, and I love that Mother’s Day will always coincide with her birthday. When I first uploaded these images, I had a hard time believing that my baby has turned into this grown-up little girl. So confident, full of joy, and never–and I do mean never–afraid to tell us exactly what she thinks. These are the qualities I hope she takes with her into the fourth year and beyond.
